I'm Hannah, an artist based in Altrincham, just outside of Manchester.

Originally from Dorset, I studied art at The Arts Institute in Bournemouth before going on to specialise in Surface Pattern and Textile Design in Brighton. After graduating with my degree, I moved to London where my career within the fashion and design industry began.

I interned as a fashion assistant at Dazed magazine, worked as a studio assistant for designer Sacha Hyde, and later as an accessories designer at AllSaints. A standout moment in my career came when I joined Nike as a Senior Design Consultant, where I specialised in colour theory and helped to launch what became Nike ID.

I spent my remaining years in London working first as an assistant buyer for Oasis and then as a product developer for Whistles. I relocated to Manchester in 2008 and continued working within the fashion industry as an account manager for nearly ten years.
It was still the fast paced and creative environment that I loved but I wasn't actually producing anything myself and was missing the "hands on" aspect of making.
In 2017 I launched The Custom Botanist and finally combined my two lifelong loves - flowers and drawing.
